Every fall, Greensboro transforms into Aggie Land for The Greatest Homecoming on Earth (GHOE) — North Carolina A&T State University’s legendary week-long celebration of culture, music, and Aggie pride. Whether you’re an alum coming home, a student soaking it all in, or a first-timer trying to see what the hype is about, here’s what you can expect from NC A&T Homecoming 2025.
🎭 The Theme & Spirit
Each year’s homecoming carries a theme — in 2025, it’s the 99th Greatest Homecoming on Earth — but some things never change: the laughter, the sea of blue and gold, and the sense of community that defines A&T culture.
Homecoming isn’t just a weekend — it’s a full week of step shows, concerts, parades, and parties that blend tradition with today’s sound and style.
🗓️ GHOE Week Highlights
Thursday – Convocation & Campus Kickoff
The week officially begins with Fall Convocation at Harrison Auditorium, a moment of reflection and pride that sets the tone for everything to come.
Friday – Step Show & Student Events
One of GHOE’s biggest traditions is the Step Show at First Horizon Coliseum. Fraternities and sororities bring their best precision, energy, and creativity — including iconic performances from the Divine Nine organizations.
Earlier in the day, the SGA Legacy Brunch and campus mixers give alumni and students space to connect across generations.
Saturday – Parade (my favorite part), Tailgate & The Big Game
Saturday is the crown jewel of GHOE.

The Homecoming Parade starts early along Lindsay Street, filling Greensboro with marching bands, dance teams, and floats.

The Tailgate & Greek Plots run all morning — food, music, and reunions as far as the eye can see.

Fan Fest downtown features local vendors, food trucks, and live performances.

The Football Game at Truist Stadium always draws a sold-out crowd. In 2025, the Aggies face South Carolina State, bringing classic CIAA-style rivalry energy to the field.
Saturday Night – The Concert
After the game, fans head to the Homecoming Concert at First Horizon Coliseum. The 2025 lineup features GloRilla, PartyNextDoor, Queen Naija, Fridayy, and Big Boogie, giving GHOE that perfect mix of R&B, rap, and southern swagger.
Sunday – Alumni Wrap-Up & Fan Fest
Homecoming closes with a lighter day of alumni brunches, vending exhibitions at the Sheraton, and a final day of Fan Fest downtown — one more chance to shop, eat, and vibe before heading home.
🏟️ Game Day Vibes
Even if you don’t snag a ticket inside Truist Stadium, the tailgate scene is the true main event. Expect tents packed with grills, speakers, Aggie paraphernalia, and people dancing in the parking lots from sunrise until well after the final whistle.
